Field Of Play was a city-wide campaign that championed Chicago as the headquarters of Gatorade. Gatorade is known and instantly recognizable as the default sports hydration drink - across the world, the Gatorade brand dominates the sidelines of most pro-sports arenas.
With Field Of Play, the idea was that sport occurs simultaneously everywhere within Chicago city limits - volleyball on the beach, baseball at Humboldt Park, soccer in an alley. Thus, Chicago is your sideline.
This campaign took the approach of starting in a precise focal point (a 7-11 in Wrigleyville), and then spreading to OOH applications throughout the city, with the headline message becoming customized neighborhood to neighborhood.
'The Onion 10' is an annual feature on The Onion site to honor the past years' most important individuals (in the most Onion way possible). In 2017, The Onion took the feature one step further by throwing a real life party in NYC.
I worked with The Onion/Gizmodo Media and their client Dewar's to provide branding, signage, and imagery to 2017's Onion 10 feature and event.
